Trail Tuesdays: The Path to Strong is Never Straight

Trail Tuesdays

Murph Prep, Mindset, and Muscle on the Move

Some Tuesdays, the trail is dusty and wild. Other days, it’s made of air squats, push-ups, and sit-ups in a quiet room while my muscles burn and my mind fights to stay present. Either way, it’s always a trail—a path that winds through challenge, grit, and grace, leading me right back to who I’m becoming.

As I prepare for the Super Murph on May 29, I’m learning that strength isn’t always about the weight on the bar or the time on the clock. Sometimes, it’s about consistency in the chaos. Showing up on tired legs. Reaching for one more pull-up when your arms say no. Choosing progress over perfection—again and again.

Super Murph looks like this:
5 Rounds of:
• 40 sit-ups
• 30 air squats
• 20 hand-release push-ups
• 10 pull-ups

No vest. No excuses. Just you, your breath, and your belief.

Every Tuesday, I’m dedicating time to this prep—and I’m calling it Trail Tuesdays. Because whether I’m on a real trail in Palo Duro Canyon or sweating in my garage gym, it’s still the same journey: one step, one rep, one choice at a time.

And let me be honest—some days feel amazing. Some days feel like I’m dragging my whole life behind me. But I’m learning to love every version of me who shows up.

Because the woman who climbs canyon walls and lifts her own body weight is the same one who sometimes gets lost on the trail (literally 😅) and calls for help. Both are strong. Both are worthy.

So here’s to the Trail—crooked, dusty, and beautiful.
And here’s to the Tuesdays—one sweaty step closer to who I’m becoming.

☀️ Sunshine says:
“You don’t have to be the fastest on the trail—just the one who keeps moving forward. Strength isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence.”
