“Joy doesn’t always arrive like a lightning bolt. Sometimes, it tiptoes in when you make room for it.”
This week, joy didn’t come crashing in with fanfare. It wasn’t loud. It didn’t shout over the noise.
Instead, it whispered.
It lingered in the smell of warm coffee on a slow morning.
It appeared in the rustle of leaves as I walked a familiar trail.
It giggled with my pets.
It sparkled when I chose music over overthinking, movement over perfection, presence over pressure.
This Saturday, I’m not waiting on joy to knock down the door.
I’m setting out a chair.
Lighting a candle.
Letting it know it’s welcome here.
You don’t have to earn it.
You don’t have to chase it.
You just have to notice it—and decide it’s worth choosing.
☀️ Sunshine Says:
You’re allowed to feel heavy and still seek the light.
You’re allowed to be healing and still have fun.
You’re allowed to be whole, exactly as you are—
and wildly happy anyway. 💛
