Today’s feature? My Osprey HikeLite 18 — a compact, trail-tested daypack that’s been with me every step of the way on my Palo Duro Canyon training hikes.
It may not look flashy, but this pack is one of the most important pieces of gear I own. It’s lightweight, breathable, and perfectly fits my 2.5L hydropack, which means I stay hydrated even in the Texas heat (because let’s be honest — PDC doesn’t play).
Trekking poles? Strapped.
First aid kit? Secured.
Trail snacks? Always.
Emotional support patches? You know it.
There’s something about packing this bag that gets me in the mindset for movement — whether that’s one mile or twenty. It holds more than just supplies… it holds purpose, preparation, and all the reminders of why I’m doing this.
The patch says, “Don’t follow me, I’m lost too,” but here’s the truth:
I’m not lost — I’m just finding new ways to move forward.
One canyon. One kidney. One mission.
