Marriage & Meaning Mondays: “The Trail Less Intended” – A Palo Duro Canyon Wedding Adventure

Weddings are always full of love, laughter… and sometimes a little unexpected adventure! A few weeks ago, I had the honor of officiating the sweetest ceremony for Ben & Lina on the stunning CCC Trail at Palo Duro Canyon. Their vows were heartfelt, the setting was breathtaking, and the love between them was absolutely radiant. ✨

And then, as they stayed behind with the photographer to capture those golden-hour canyon shots, I decided to head back to the parking area on my own. Confidently. Blissfully. Without really paying attention to which trailhead we had taken. 😅

Let’s just say I took “the trail less intended” and ended up on a much longer route. Fortunately, I had enough signal to call the photographer, who kindly sent my ride to rescue me. (Thanks again, friend—you’re a lifesaver!) 😂

In the end, it’s one more story to remember from a day already filled with joy, love, and laughter. And let’s be real… every great love story deserves a little side quest.
